This whimsical little tune was inspired by a baby blanket made by my Auntie Thelma. It’s the pattern known as a Crazy Quilt, and hangs on the wall in my guest room. To illustrate the piece visually for YouTube, I thought some Sun Bonnet Sues could have a little adventure via Stop Motion animation.
It was way too much fun. I had a lot of help from family getting this done. I really did cut out those characters and stage the scenes, one tiny movement at a time. Just like Auntie Thelma crafted all those little pieces and added chain stitching around them all.
Crazy Quilt is in “My Gallery” which is a terrible title, what was I thinking? Who knows. It’s full of pieces inspired by little things in my home, like this baby blanket.
